Yamaha Saxophone Serial Numbers
A long model trumpet for fanfare use. Sometimes marketed as 'FF' but only seen as 'F' stamped on the trumpet.In addition to indicating material, construction, finsh or option, sometimes letters are used to indicate a particular Artist, Anniversary or Limited Edition model. I have found the following so far:Q = Q-ClassAD = Advantage RangeAL = Allegro RangeM = Monel ValvesThe following three letters pose some questions I haven't been able to confirm yet.
I believe that the A, E and N letters used on some student model trumpets are market specific, relating only to the trumpet / case combination. I haven't seen any evidence of the letters stamped on particular trumpets.A =???E =???N =???M =??? (YTR-83M)X =???
In 1996 I contacted Leblanc USA, after hours, and a nice lady faxed me a serial number list that they had. The list was not in their computers thus no one else was given this list. So I published it on the new website for everyone to have. Then I went on a search for serial number lists of my other clarinets, and the website grew from there.
Yamaha Tenor Sax Serial Numbers
. Make/Model: Yamaha YTS-23. Serial Number: 055925A. Location of Manufacture: Japan. Body Material: Brass.
Key, Pad, and Spring Condition: All Working and Fully Functional. Case: Includes Hardshell Case.
Features: Includes Case and Mouth Piece. Condition: This tenor saxophone looks and sounds great! There are some light scratches throughout but nothing severe at all.
The pads all look great and are in working order. The mouthpiece has some teeth marks on the beak as well as some scratches on the rails but nothing severe. The hardshell case is pretty beat up.
There is spray paint throughout the case as well as rips in the tolex. The case closes as it should however. Overall a terrific tenor sax for the money! Has a fantastic sound!
