Fallout: New Vegas offers an action role playing game that is packed full of content with a large open world filled with enemies, NPCs and countless side quests. The game was developed by Obsidian Entertainment and released in 2010.Since it’s original release Fallout: New Vegas has since seen many downloadable content releases which have built on the core gameplay with new areas, weapons, quests and enemies. Players assume the role of a Courier who is hired to deliver a mysterious package across the wasteland only to be shot in the head and left for dead. After your near death experience you swear to track down the assailant for revenge. Just like in players can increase their stats, skills and perks to create their own unique character with strengths and weaknesses that suit your desired playstyle.Players will also find themselves using the V.A.T.S. System once again which allows players to pause combat to target specific body parts for maximum effect. New Vegas offers new game features as well though fincluding the ability to modify weapons, craft ammunition and even harvest plants for meals and medicines.The karma system from previous Fallout games has been changed up slightly with new faction specific reputation being built in the game due to the sheer number of factions that are present in the game world. The most unique (and my favourite) feature of New Vegas though is the hardcore game mode. Not only does it ramp up the difficultly level to the extreme it also adds a number of different features that are not seen on other difficulties to create a more realistic experience.
On hardcore mode players have many healing restrictions placed on them, ammunition is given a weight value and the player must carefully manage food, water and sleep to prevent exhaustion.Summary:. Large amount of content, locations and hidden story.
