I bought my Intex Pure Spa from Walmart in June 2017 and ran it for 3 months until it crapped out with the E90 code in August. I let it sit until May 2018 and decided to delve into it. This is where I found the issue is inside the pump on the bottom of the unit. The pump has an impeller that moves the water and spins on a shaft. The shaft is either plastic or ceramic, and is known for breaking.
Our Lay Z Spa Monaco review shows this 8 person inflatable tub is the market leader in it's size. Over 300 purchasers have given the Monaco spa a 5 star rating which is unheard of for these portables, making this model a solid buy. That's what happend to mine in just 3 months! I went to HD an bought a 1/8 size brass rod and cut it to 2 & 7/8' and replaced it. Now it works and moves the water! Be careful to use a non-ferrous (not magnetic) material like brass. The impeller has a powerful magnet, so using steal will not fix it.
