You raise a good point that's got me a little bit wary of this, to be honest. I really doubt that a large enough portion of their functions would be made obsolete by native Illustrator functions. I know they incorporated a number of functions as you noted, but they have been so slow to introduce these functions that it seems incredibly unlikely that there are enough functions being added by Adobe that they would be willing to offer 70% off their entire offering.
The code was only given out to a select number of people too so it's not like they're going all out 'EVERYTHING MUST GO!' Regardless, I'm sure as hell not complaining. I think you're probably right, just looking for other thoughts from folks.
